On the 19th of November 2024, the second Women-of-EmpkinS day took part. The day started with an interactive guided tour through the Deutsches Museum Nürnberg. We had the opportunity to talk to the humanoid robot AMECA, which is connected to ChatGPT. In addition, we explored helpful medical inventions as well as ideas for driving, living and eating in the future.

Afterwards we went to the neighboring Josephs Lab. Over a delicious lunch from Kaspar Schmauser, we had the opportunity to network, talk about scientific topics, and get to know some of the newest EmpkinS members a bit better.

In the afternoon, Dr. Silke Schnurbusch gave an insightful workshop on career planning and work orientation. We were encouraged to reflect our personal skills, life values and overarching goals and how they are fulfilled through our work.

At the end of the day, three women from EmpkinS presented their individual career paths and talked about their experiences in terms of balancing career and family, managing a further training in Psychology and going abroad.

Many thanks to everyone who contributed to this inspiring day!
